How many schools are currently being managed by the Trust? [go to top]

TFA Trust is currently operating 14 schools. TFA Trust opened 10 schools in its first year of operation. What is a non-formal school? [go to top]
A non-formal school usually starts in a makeshift setting or an open place with only one teacher in the beginning with a dual role of both teaching and management. Non-formal schools have the advantage that such schools can be established with very small financial expenses and thus can be set up in very large numbers very rapidly (See the non-formal schools section under the Achievements link).

How do you compare the quality of education at a non-formal school with a conventional school?
[go to top]
In a non-formal school, there is a compromise on building and other physical settings. However, other factors like the school location (it is located very close to the students’ residences), flexible timings, very low cost of education and highly trained teachers do in fact compensate for that.

Is the Trust doing anything to promoting higher education?
[go to top]

TFA offers higher education scholarships to the top 5% of our children who have completed their primary education. For that we need potential donors/sponsors to kindly come forward and sponsor the further education of these brilliant students, enabling them to continue their studies to the highest possible level that they desire.

I want to voluntarily work as a teacher/volunteer.
[go to top]
The hiring and recruitment of teachers start with advertisements in newspapers and our website. Please note that trainee teachers will usually be selected from disadvantaged rural areas where there will be no schools already working in that area and upon completion of their training, they will be sent back to their respective areas to establish non-formal schools there. For any kind of voluntary work, please contact us directly on our UAN (+92 42 111-999-600), address (349-G/3, Johar Town, Lahore, Pakistan), Email (contact@taaleemforall.org) OR telephone numbers (+92 42 35290721-2) or through fax (+92 42 35290721-2).
